How to see a problem and turn into a blessing
This shows how to look at problems with positive attitude.
"If a servant of Allah is afflicted with a misfortune and says:
‘Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un, Allahumma ajirni fi musibati wa akhlif li khairan minha‘
(Verily we belong to Allah and truly to Him shall we return. O Allah! Protect me in this calamity that has befallen me and replace it with something better),
Allah will accept his prayer, grant him reward for his affliction, and replace it with something better.”
The station of Certainty are Nine to know and master, says Imam Haddad in this poem, based on the last section of the Ten books (The Deliverers-Rub' al-munjiyat) of Imam Ghazali’s Revival of the Religious Sciences-(Ihya' 'Ulum al-Din)- The Nine station of Certainty that Imam Haddad mentions are:

2. Raja’ Hope
3. Khawf -Fear
4. Sabr -Patience
5. Shukr- Gratitude
6.Zuhd-Detachment
7.Tawwakkul-Relience

As for the 4th that being Sabr, what is mentioned about hardship, problems loss, difficulties is to discourage from complaining about ones Hardship as there we should look at them all in a positive attitude two many reasons, we should our tribulations/problems "turn them on their heads" and realise that there are many benefits in tribulations. For within hardships are hidden divine Gifts as;
The Purifications of Sins.
The Illumination of the hearts.
The Refining of character & maturating if virtue.
For the refined ones, Spiritual openings & constant rise in degree.
(see below the 17 benefits of tribulations link by Shaykh Hamza Yusuf)
Theses can only be obtain with Sabr and trusting in Allah and saying the above dua and being positive and changing ones attitude into trust and know that Part of Qadr-Divine decree has be written that way so who are we to really complain and if we want to complain, make Duas to Allah for his Mercy, Love Wisdom and compassion.
That Qadr-Divine decree is (..qadri khairihi wa sharrihi-..My fate the Good and the bad..) as Iman-faith is only tested and then increased with Trials and hardships and those, those who complain are only fighting against their Divine Decree, so with patience will hearts be at peace and only then are given Increase in Iman.
Iman consists of belief in the following seven articles: also known as Iman Mufasal: aamantu billahi wa malaikatihi wa kutubihi wa rusulihi wal yawmul akhirihi wal qadri khairihi wa sharrihi minallahi ta’ala wal ba’sihi ba’adal mawt.
I believe in Allah; and His Angels; and His Books; and His Messengers; and the Day of Judgment; and that of Fate, the good and the bad given by Allah; and the Life after Death.
So really its part of Iman to be tested some are us tested more then others why, there is a Wisdom in that Only Allah knows but are must Submit-Islam to that.
Lets look at an example of one major test our beloved Prophet (peace be upon him) was given and then see the hidden Divine Gifts bestowed on him,(peace be upon him. The Mi’raj was a Divine Gift to the Prophet (peace be upon him) in the 'Year of Sorrow'. When both is most beloved Wife and uncle passed away this happened in 619 A.D. the year which became known as the 'Year of Sorrow'.
The years of hardship had made Khadijah very weak. She became ill and soon afterwards she died. Thus, the Prophet (peace be upon him) lost his beloved wife and friend, the first person to accept Islam and support him. She had been a refuge from all his troubles and, through her good-heartedness, the best company in his suffering. He had loved her very much.
Soon after this, the Prophet Muhammad's (peace be upon him) uncle and protector, Abu Talib, also died. Abu Talib had been one of the most respected men in Mecca-one of the elders of Quraysh, he had protected the Prophet (peace be upon him) against his enemies. Not only was this a sad occasion for the Prophet (peace be upon him) but also a dangerous one. According to Arab custom anyone who is under the protection of another is safe so long as his protector lives. Now, with the death of his uncle, the Prophet's protection was gone.
The Prophet's (peace be upon him) enemies rejoiced to see him so sad, without a wife to console and comfort him, and without his uncle to protect him. They began to treat him worse than ever before. But Allah bless his Sabr and Halim with the Mi’raj and the gifts and blessings and power of the the Mi’raj.

The Shade of Sadaqah: “The believer’s
shade on the Day of Resurrection will be his Sadaqah.” (Tirmidhi) "The
generous man is near Allah, near paradise, near men and far from hell, but the
miserly man is far from Allah, far from paradise, far from men and near hell.
Indeed, an ignorant man who
is generous is dearer to Allah than a worshipper who is miserly."(Tirmidhi)
